Roof Turbines Not Turning

The faster the wind speed the faster the turbine rotates.

If the wind is blowing and catches the fins then the turbines act like giant vacuum pumps sucking hundreds of cubic feet of hot air out of an attic per minute.

If yours aren t turning it s time to lubricate or replace entirely. Do i have a low pressure system. You can usually adjust the level by turning the turbine body. The maximum roof pitch is almost always printed on the box label.

Finally be sure the ball bearings are permanently lubricated and sealed. You may have to replace the turbine with an electric fan type of ventilator. Not all turbines will fit all roof pitches. The turbines are adjustable so that the spinning part is level even though the roof is slanted.
