Roof Plan Architecture
Intricate roofs have many parts that incorporate several of the basic roof designs such as a gable roof sitting atop a gambrel or variations of the gable valley roof design using one or a variety of different types of roof trusses also see our very detailed diagrams showing the different parts of a roof truss.
Roof plan architecture. A roof plan is a view from the top of the house that shows the geometry in flat view of a roof. In addition to being used in residential construction the flat roof is typically used on commercial structures to provide a platform for heating and other mechanical equipment. Roof plans are typically drawn at a scale smaller than the scale used for the floor plan. When used it must be shown on the roof plan flat roof.
